  • What is eshkolēt?
    Eshkolēt creates peer tutoring programs and workshops in schools to help students excel in their studies.
  • Who can join eshkolēt?
    Any high school student can join as long as your school is partnered with eshkolēt . Email us to bring eshkolēt to your school – info@eshkolet.com
  • What is the cost?
    Eshkolēt is free for students. Schools pay an annual subscription fee to participate in the program.
  • Who are the tutors?
    High schools: Tutors are students in your own high school. Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores are able to tutor high school students after attending a mandatory tutor training session. Middle schools: Tutors from different high schools attend a mandatory tutor training session to tutor Middle School students.
  • What are skills workshops?
    Workshops are run at school and provide students with skills that will help them succeed. Topics include time management, organization, note taking, study skills, test taking techniques and more.
  • Do you have a privacy policy/terms of use?
    Yes. Please see “privacy policy/terms of use” for details.
  • What subjects can I get tutoring in?
    Each school has a specific list of courses which can include Math, Science, History, English and Judaic Studies courses. Check out the "request a tutor" form to see a full list.
  • Who is my peer-tutor?
    Your tutor will be a student from your school. An email will be sent to you from eshkolēt with the details. You can also check your eshkolet account for details under 'my account'.
  • Can I request a specific tutor?
    Yes! When filling out the “request a tutor” form on the website, there is a space for additional comments or special requests.
  • Do I need to pay my tutor?
    No, tutoring is free.
  • What if I want to switch tutors?
    No problem, just email us your concerns info@eshkolet.com or fill out the feedback form.
  • Do tutors get paid?
    Tutors volunteer to participate in the peer tutoring program. Tutoring hours count toward volunteer hours. Volunteer hours look great on your resumé when applying for college.
  • How can I improve my tutoring skills?
    Eshkolét provides a mandatory tutor training session for all tutors in your school, before you start tutoring, so you can feel confident and become a successful tutor.
  • Can I request a specific student to work with?
    Yes! When filling out the “become a tutor” form on the website, there is a space for additional comments or special requests.
  • What if I want to switch to a new student?
    No problem. Just email us your concerns or fill out the feedback form.
  • How many students can I tutor?
    We assign you one student, but if you would like to take on a second student, let us know.
  • Who is my student?
    Your student will be a student from your school. An email will be sent to you from eshkolēt with the details. You can also check your eshkolēt account for more details.
  • Can I attend a skills workshops?
    Yes. Workshops are held within your school and open to all students enrolled.
